Social Worker Trainee

Kristen is a social worker trainee currently completing the final year of her Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Cleveland State University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ashland University, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and the factors that influence individual well-being. Kristen has spent the past six years working in the social services field, gaining experience supporting individuals and families through a variety of systems and life circumstances.

 Throughout her professional career, Kristen has worked in case management, housing assistance, workforce development, and program management. These experiences have allowed her to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and develop a well-rounded understanding of the challenges people may encounter while navigating personal, social, and systemic barriers. Her experience has strengthened her ability to build trusting relationships, provide individualized support, and collaborate with others to identify practical steps toward meaningful change.

 Kristen is passionate about meeting people where they are and creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward their goals. She believes that effective therapy begins with understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Kristen utilizes evidence-based interventions to provide thoughtful, individualized care while collaborating with clients to find approaches that best support their goals.
